I just file these things in my RAM bank along with all the other Government shambles, whichever party is in power.
Just helps to confirm my views.
Anyway, it's only taxpayers' money and there's plenty of that!

I have mixed emotions on it myself. On the one hand it's shocking to see that an institution like C&E can make such a horrendous mess of something. On the other hand it's nice to see that an institution like C&E can make such a horrendous mess of something when they purport to being all seeing, all knowing and all powerful.

2 billion is nothing and this scam is nothing.

The VAT scam in Mobile phones and computer chips which is still going on has taken far more billions. This fraud rather than make it's money from evading VAT makes it's money by taking it from C&E.

How is the phone industry nowadays? Have they managed to completely mess things up (freezing assets, accountability, weekly VAT returns, withholding payments etc etc)?
