Oh look, more "give us your money". No thanks. I've made donations to causes I believe in, would rather not have appeals for donations rammed down my throat.

totally sick and tired of people *still* going on about the tsunami and wanting donations.

I do have to agree It doesn't end though does it?

Children In need, Live aid, Tsunami, Comic relief.
Hardly any spacing between the latter 3 (ok tsunami was a freak of nature, but could CR have been delayed to later in the year?).

Every 3rd shop in the street is a charity shop, every 3rd advert on the 2nd rate TV channels (ignoring ringtone ads ) is a charity ad. Almost every week I have a little pouch pushed through the letterbox. Every several months a charity will give me a "free" pen intending to play havoc with my conscience.

If this country was a tax haven I would give alot more to charity

If I was rolling in money, I'd happily give an equal amount of money taken from my earnings in tax to charity. Reality dictates that if I did...I'd need a charity to support me!

There is only so much a person can give.

I'd also like to see charities be far more forthcoming in what happens to donations and where their "expenses" go. There are many legitmate organisations, but there are also ones that operate purely as a business, to make as much (or more) money for themselves than they give.

they are not "little kids" they are just numbers...there are billions of people on the earth and looking at individuals sometimes clouds the ideas as to how to deal with it...........the priority has got to be to stop ppl with Aids banging each others brains out to have 5 orphans to be.

charity starts at home, thus why i dont give **** all anymore! I can remember once in secondary school, i was forced to go out knocking doors asking for donations for something i didnt believe in and since then i have never done any charity work.
