Just been up to the Post Office to get Tax for the MX5, I know that its not summer, but it soon will be

I SORN the little car over the winter and Tax again in March - makes sense.

Anyway, when I went to pay the system rejected my application because it says that the car is currently taxed!! they finally agreed to issue me a disc manually!!

Now, the Tax Disc ran out at the end of last November 2004, I just didn't renew and SORN'ed the car ...... why is the system showing it as taxed then??

The only thing I can think of is there is a clone somewhere!!!!!

DVLA records are only 70% accurate, according to the program on traffic wardens (yesterday C4), I'd be ringing them and telling to get it sorted out !.

Well the speeding ones will get dismissed - Police and Magistrates read these pages too you know?? And I NEVER speed!!

Had exactly the same issue with my 2nd car on a SORN, when I went to tax it - "it was already taxed", but they wouldn't give me a duplicate disc or a refund
