Highlander
Ok, was thinking earlier and I think the series slipped up somewhere. The first film fair enough, the second in the future (whatever!!) fair enough and the third being a prequel i have no problem with!
But!!
Highlander : End Game is set in the present and Conner MacLeod tells his brother Duncan to kill him in order for him to kill Jacob Kell the baddie. So with this happening the 2nd film could never have happened.
The second film was a turkey in my opinion so im assuming this was dimissed when the other sequels were made?
Sad post but i was watching it the other night and i got thinking!

Playusa.com do Highlander : The Imortal Edition 2 disc tin set for 11.99 and Highlander 2 : Renegade Edition for 9.99.
Quite tempted now, alot better than the uk versions, plus Renegade is supposed to salvage the mess what the original was!!!

I recently re-purchased Highlander DVD to try out the DTS 6.1 Discrete mix.
They haven't done a very good job on the mix IMO.
Still an excellent film though.

I've got the renegade version of Highlander 2 which is a vast improvement on the original cut, I think when you look at the series and 'The Gathering' and 'Endgame',you have to regard them as being totally seperate to the first three movies. If you watch the series, which ran to 100+ ? episodes, the planet would be overun with immortals as Duncan seemed to lop at least one head per episode. I still enjoyed it,as I like the whole highlander concept but have to admit that the first film was intended as a one off and any attempt to make sequels was doomed to failure.

Well ive finally seen the Renegade Version, and to be honest its as much of a mess as the original Quickening was. Granted the film ommits any scenes stating theyre aliens but it cuts to an alien planet in the past where Conner and Rameriez appear to meet for the first time. Which doesnt make sense. Scenes where they are banished to the future also dont make sense.
As for the original storyline its pathetic!

I know what you mean about the second movie, it is a bit random.
We are big fans of the Highlander films and the series and have them all on dvd and tape.
We were on holiday in Scotland a couple of years back and of course had to visit Eilean Donan castle which was in the first movie.
