Default Another drink driving sprog

this isn't the same as the one a few weeks ago, is it? I thought the other was male.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/w...re/4222509.stm

Am I the only one to read

"A 13-year-old girl who was caught drink-driving has been sentenced to a 12-month supervision order...Newbury magistrates also banned the girl, from the West Berkshire area, who was 12 when it happened, from driving for two years. "

...and think the 2-year ban is a bit ?

Please tell me the 2 year ban starts from when she gets her license!!

How does it work if you get banned before you have passed your test?

Thumbs down

IMHO, a kid who has done this is out of control, and doeasn't need a supervision order, she needs locking up.

Unfortunately, magistrates can't lock up anyone under 18 without the say-so, in writing, of social services, stating that it's in the child's best interests

And at present, hell will freeze over first!

Can they not just tie her to the front of a truck and do a Mad Max 2 on her.

Not so - She has been banned for 2 years, until 2007.

"....The girl, from the Thatcham area of Berkshire, was also banned from driving until 2007 at sentencing at West Berkshire Youth Court in Newbury."

I blame the parents. Apparently they were give the yob alcopop drinks. When it got bored it decided to drive to a friend's house.

It's the chav scum parents that want locking up.

Yes it will. An old school mate was late for one of his GCSE exams and decided to take his Mums car and stacked it into a wall He was banned for a year and couldn't learn to drive until he was 18. I don't think he ever bothered after that.

Didn't bother what? Getting a license? Driving? Learning?
