Need help! Parking in London.
Need advice on parking overnight in London. I am taking the wife to see a show on Tuesday and have booked a hotel for Monday night. I am concerned as to where to park the scoob overnight. We will be staying near Regents Park, anyone know of any safe places to park. Thanks.

LOL. Still trying to run her in(the car not the wife)! Any idea's how much it will cost me to park overnight? Will I have to sell the wife? The other option is to go by coach but four and a half hours on a coach is not very romantic.

Quite a few of them are free overnight or else just a couple of squid on a weekend, not parked during the week though. You can normally find details and prices on the net somewhwere, NCP have a website and so do some of the independant ones.

bloomsbury square has a good underground spiral car park
Possibly the most secure one i know of- look at the type of cars in the privately owned spaces near the exit for peace of mind
Just off tott court road- brief walk to the covent garden

I normally just park in a residential street in Finchley and get the tube in. It's free to do that and it's apparently a posh area so there will be nicer cars than a Scoob near you.
I would be more worried about the car getting damaged driving into central London than by the risk of it getting damaged whilst parked.

wouldnt bother mate .. id park the scoob safely at home and use another form of transport eg train bus . depending where u are comin from . london gets a tad busy and whereever u park u will pay an extortionate rate to park in any car park. take it from experiance at least then u will have peace of mind and enjoy the night more knowin ur scoob is safely tucked away at home. even if u have to pay a bit mork for travel and stuff
glad to help

Park in Highgate, N London and tube it in.
I know some streets near the tube station where your car will be parked next to cars whose wheels are worth more than your new motor .

Don't listen to the scare stories. Central London has far more desirable cars than scoobies parked all over the place.
I use the Endell St and Drury Lane NCPs regularly and have never had a problem.
As for leaving it in a quiet suburban st in Finchley . I used to live in Highgate Village so I'd agree with that post, but Finchley/ E Finchley no way.

I've parked many times in the bloomsbury square car park, and never had any problems.
I've also parked outside (by the side of the road) a few friday/saturday nights, and I have never had any problems.
Generally, as long as you don't leave stuff lying around in the car, I think you'll be fine.
