North Somerset By-Election!
Excellent.... another opportunity to put a tick where it counts....
Polling Day is 3rd February and obviously I shall be voting for both Conservative candidates for Portishead Town Council and North Somerset County, and there isn't a damn thing pslewis can do about it!
The Conservatives are the wedge we need to drive between Tony Blair and our liberty and country!!!

Ah, yes, the North Somerset By-Election:-
The Liberal Democrats moved from third place to a close second in the Hartlepool by-election, cutting the majority of 17,000 to 2,000 with a swing of 19%.
The Tories were pushed from second into fourth place by the Lib Dems and the UK Independence Party.
The result for the Conservatives was worse even than the third places they achieved in the previous three parliamentary by-elections in Brent East, Leicester South and Birmingham Hodge Hill.
A similar massive swing in Woodspring Constituency North Somerset would see Tory Party Chairman Liam Fox in real trouble and the Lib Dems win by more than 5,000 votes.
Lib Dem prospective MP, Councillor Mike Bell, said: "The Tories have not just been overtaken, they have been left in the lay-by. It is the only time the Tories have gone from second to fourth since the Tory Party was formed.
"The Tories are fast becoming irrelevant."
You will be WASTING your TORY vote!! Ha Ha Ha!!

Obviously I underestimated the influx of thick people to the area. Conservatives lost a seat to the sandal wearing libdems!
Redcliffe Bay
District Council (2003 in brackets)
Liberal Democrat - 476 (401)
Conservative - 434 (606)
UKIP - 118 (0)
Labour - 59 (0)
Town Council (2003 in brackets)
Conservative - 505 (595)
Liberal Democrat - 500 (471)
Labour - 80 (215)
Still, nice to see Labour didn't get a look in once again!

I will concede that it wasn't exactly the result I would have liked but at least Labour got the hammering it so richly deserved, and Portishead town is still Conservative!
