Watched a few DVDs recently...
Well, picked up a few DVDs recently from the local shop.
The Day After Tomorrow
-----------------------
Thought it was enjoyable, and with recent world events a bit disturbing.
Was a little drawn out in places.
Chronnicles of Riddick
---------------------
Again, enjoyable, but not exactly mind blowing, thinking wasn't a factor whilst watching. I think Pitch Black was better.
Hellboy
-------
Again, not a film that made you think much - your standard action type film.
But found it highly entertaining, some good humour in it.

BTW, saw Ocean's Twelve a couple of days ago. Thought it was about equal to the previous - nice interplay between Pitt and Clooney, lots of witty one-liners, and quite forgettable by the end. And as I was half-asleep throughout the film I was quite pleased my son could explain the plot within a plot within a plot within... afterwards.

saw king Arthur the other day. As explained at the beginning it was a bout Arthurius (ok i made that up) This Roman bloke called Arthur who fought off the saxons & realised afterwards how corrupt Rome was thus moved permanently to Britain where he became King Arthur. I dont think it was necessarily the same Arthur but historians have findings of a possible "earlier Arthur"
Saw the directors cut where the orginal ending was much better than the happy overthetop "Bruckheimer " ending
ps. Keira Knightley looked rather fit in it
