stupid weather
this is the 2nd time this has happened (1st was just b4 xmas)
a roof tile has been blown down by this crap wind,
and is now on my garden.
now it pi55es me off cos it costs me £65 to get it put back
but the only lucky thing is that the wind ain't blowing the other direction otherwise it would fall on my car

Well, think yourselves lucky!
I woke to the sound of banging, went to look at the car and found the lid of the wheely bin twatting the bonnet of my car.
Its scored at least two large b4stard gouges in the paintwork of the bonnet, and thats from looking in the dark!
Oh joy

it's still going the damn wind,
as with everything you go to sleep and hope that everything will be ok next day. and its still there
when does it end.

DISCLAIMER:- To all of a super sensitive religious persuasion - this is a joke, no offence is meant to anyone, in any form, in any way, at any time.

Seems like you lot were lucky. I woke up to find all the flower pot things on patio blown off with all their contents spilled all over the place. The bbq was lying upside down in the middle of the garden and the satellite dish was hanging off the wall.
That was just out the back when I had a look out front I found half the tiles from roof on the front lawn.
Now here’s were it gets bad, about 5 tiles have landed on my dad’s car. The drivers side electric wing mirror off has been smashed off, smashing it into about 100 pieces. 2 tiles have landed on bonnet leaving rather nasty dents and there’s a rather nasty crack in the front bumper.
Then to make matters worse during the night my dad was quite ill and me mam couldn’t get in contact with the emergency Doctor as most of phone lines in area are dead.

£65??!! Get on a ladder and put the tiles back?
I'm quite lucky... my neighbours' houses act like a wind break so they get tiles lifting, lead flashing folding even ridge tiles being levered up. I get the occasional tile lifted out of place. That is the price they pay for being 50m closer to the Bristol Channel than me!
(although my view would be a bit better if their houses blew down..... )

After having a tree blow down ON my 306 last year (Never thought I'd say this but Thank you to the French for building at least 1 well made car) I'm quite nervous when it's windy.
Think I might build an underground bunker for the Scooby.

got a visitor at 9am today 2 guys are asking people in the neighbourhood to fit the tiles back on,
(HE was very BUSY in my street)
25 it cost me, however near the chimney he saw two tiles getting loose, and with concrete falling off, worse still he saw a bird went in then out (OF MY HOUSE)
told him to check round and then theres another loose one at the front of the house,
on top of my scoob
got that done too
all for 60 squid phew lucky it was done earlier otherwise might have a dent on the bonnet and a rave bird party in my loft
