whats a c1 vehicle?
is a C1 license a different thing, however on my license it says c1 valid from 1996 -2046

Correct - this is why the Ambulance service is starting to find it difficult to recruit younger staff. You need a Cat C1 and D1 on your licence but after 1996, you don't automatically get those categories. The Ambulance service won't put you through your test for those categories so you have to stump up the readies yourself before even applying. You could be looking at 2k+ for lessons and tests .
does ambulance service give good pay?
