Default c1 license

whats a c1 vehicle?

is a C1 license a different thing, however on my license it says c1 valid from 1996 -2046

ain't that the same thing

so i passed my test in 96,does that mean my license allows me to drive C1 vehicles
BUT people passed after 1997 needs a seperate license?

Correct - this is why the Ambulance service is starting to find it difficult to recruit younger staff. You need a Cat C1 and D1 on your licence but after 1996, you don't automatically get those categories. The Ambulance service won't put you through your test for those categories so you have to stump up the readies yourself before even applying. You could be looking at 2k+ for lessons and tests .
