Default any ideas where i can obtain this over the counter??

I nedd to purchase some bolts tommorow, to use on my project,

i need some 1/2 " unf bolts, and possibly some m12 metric fine

although the 1/2 unf us the most important.

I tried the local halfords, and the guy there thought i had two heads,

why did they stop selling loose components!! it used to be handy for the odd nut or bolt..

any ideas where i can locate these, would a car dealership have them in the spares dept??

Mart

I bought a load of bolts from a B&Q superstore (one of the really big branches) recently and they had a fairly good selection of metric bolts, but only in standard pitch if I recall. To find imperial you'll need to find a Ye Olde hardware store!

Won't do for tomorrow, but it's worth sticking www.namrick.co.uk in your browser favourites for the future

Reckon you'll have a hell of a job getting them locally, best to use mail order.

Could try your local corner car shop, he could have some if you're very lucky.

Somewhere like 'Buck & Hickman' or 'Cromwell Tools' MAY have them over the counter but as you know, they're not the most common sizes. Good luck.

If they still exist Glenwood Fasteners in Linton in Cambridgeshire used to do them - but I've not dealt with Glenwood for over ten years now..
