The new Kevin Bacon film
I read about a new Kevin Bacon film in Empire where he plays a peadophile. Now im sure his acting is good in the film in that its a moving film and authentic but the thought of a film like this just really unsettles me. Does anyone else have the same views when it comes to subjects like this?

Surely it depends on the film? Or are you suggesting that there should be areas of life that should be ignored in the hope they go away? I can't seriously imagine that Bacon will be the winner at the end of the film (assuming he's the paedophile), but my plan is to reserve any real comment until the film is out. That won't stop the tabloids though I suspect...

The newspapers will love this. A paedophile on every street they will cry. Dont let your children go to school for fear of being abducted and murdered.
Its a film! The whole point of film is to create emotions. Only clip Ive seen so far is of Bacons character saying to someone "When will I be cured?" I wonder if at the end of the film you'll feel sorry for the guy or angry
Its not going to be easy to watch. But I have No problem with it being made. And all credit to the studio for allowing this to be produced. Theres faar to much disposable tripe at the cinemas these days.
