Hello Stef
Benjamin here on Kevin's PC. I am sorry to disappoint you but I was wrong. Kevin did have what I thought was a 330hp conversion on his Escort but as it was a small turbo car, would only produce around 305hp.
HOWEVER, I am reliably informed that the car was standard when he lapped in that time bar a scorpion exhaust.
So, what we shall have to do is have Bruce lead you out and have Kevin follow and I shall enjoy the view for the half lap before Kevin gets bored and overtakes you!! (Bruce will either be in the next millenium or the gravel trap!!) I will be in the passenger seat. (still on standard brakes and tyres and so will not be able to carry enough speed to keep up)
Maybe then, just maybe Stef will eventually realise that there is a difference between quick and really quick and maybe he will realise there is a difference between potential and real talent..............

Yup, there is a difference between potential and real talent, Stef has real talent, not potential
I think that you may be a little suprised how qualified a driver Stef is Ben, he aint no "boy racer" type to start with, and if you think its about how many horsepower a car has, look at how many cosworths out there have been beaten by this pretty standard scoob, its a uk car and not an import so its slower than a 300+ bhp cossie (well it should be but the driver makes the difference )
Dont slate Stef unless you want to take him on on the track or be a passenger in his car, he will out drive you

No offence but I think I know Stef better than most of you excepting you Ringas. Stef's driving style would be better suited to gravel and there are several ARDS instructors that have that opinion.
Stef's car is a fantastically quick car with extremely effective brakes and well sorted handling and with the inherrant stability of the Impreza has a very quick car.
Where Stef beats everybody is in his braking where he stands on them in an emergency stop at the end of the straights. Extremely effective but mechanically unsympathetic as can be witnessed as every time I have seen his car he has had cracked discs.........

P.S. I have driven Stef's car a long time ago at Donington when he had the new brakes fitted and couldn't find the braking points in 5 laps as they kept moving closer and closer to the corner!!!
