how bloody cool is that?
INSANE quality for the bandwidth....
A mate of mine is on the coding team.
It's being pitched at adult companies too.
and they are clamouring for it!
time to buy some shares!

Hello
The problem that they have is I instantly will not watch a movie being streamed that insists I install something. They will need to have the marketing clout of Apple in order to persuade me to install the nasty Active-X control.
Steve.

Some of it reads like a Nigerian spam email:
'It achieves to do so with a very light sofware that will take you only seconds to install.'
Hmmm... call me old-fashioned, but their credibility would improve if their spelling and grammar did likewise. Ok, maybe not native English speakers.
And like boxst I'm not keen on installing an unknown app unless I have a bit more evidence that it isn't full of malware. After some pondering I did click the install button, and Firefox popped up a message that it had blocked the page from installing software on my computer. At that point I decided to go with my instinct to avoid it.

Having said that, it appears that the plugin was previously known as pluggle, and I can't find any evidence that anyone else has ever found any problems with it. I've given it a go.
The demo clips would be a lot more convincing if they had a high-quality one, pretty much all I found were old B&W films with gate weave and noise - faithfully rendered nonetheless, but not something that really shows the advantages of this technology over ordinary divx.
*Edited* to say I'm not so happy now, there is a StreamPlug and an Uninstall StreamPlug icon left on my desktop, but they don't do anything. I'm beginning to think this was a Bad Idea !

waiting for marcus to get back to me..
he's in NYC..
you can play better qualiy movies via this:
go to http://www.play-divx.com
start to stream gullivers travels.
click STOP.
click on button that shows PLAYLIST
in field below ADD LOC add this link: http://www.troma-france.net/courts/jan_ken_pon_370.ogm
then hit DONE.
then on the list on the left hand side double click on the link above...
it should stream faultlessly.
I havent watched the whole movie - only beta testing the initial 2mins. so no idea if its remotely suitable for anyone under 18.
should work.
as for icons.. I have no such problems? sorry to hear it's gone pear shaped for you.)

On their web page there appears to be an uninstall utility, but that asks for something else to be installed to work....
I've deleted the executable manually. Might give it another go another time.
Thanks for the extra details on the better quality movies though.

Installed the plugin but all the sites still insist that the plugin is missing.
