Serious thread about what to get the Mrs for Xmas
No rampant rabbit related suggestions thanks!!
I've been on Girlstuff and most of it is rubbish or fitness related and I can't be arsed with the hassle off trawling shops!
cheers

seriousley, the rampant rabbit is a good idea, but get her a pair of slippers for the main present.
......if she doesn't like the slippers she can go and **** herself

Sub £40, well, does she read? if so the latest book by her fave author, some cd's of music she likes, maybe some dvds.
What you get her depends on what she's into. I've had girls ask for a new iron, and no, I'm not joking, and yes, I did buy it, was one of those all singing all dancing type things. Seem to recall she got a washer/dryer for her birthday as well
Heartless? no, she said that is what she wanted. Romantic? oh of course not, but as some say "it's the thought that counts"
How about some scented bubble bath? facial scrub type stuff. Or £40 might get you a treatment at a spa for her.
If you want to get really soppy, you could make up fake "gift vouchers", something like "Entitles the bearer to a limitless shopping spree @ <insert shopping center name, or fancy shop name>" Some could see this as being somewhat lazy, but again, it is the thought element.
I've always found it hard to know what to get the ladies. Sparkly stuff is always appreciated, well, as long as it's not from Argos Sometimes something small, not that expensive will "win" over a massive expensive gift. Depends on the girl.

shopping for flat ***** is beyond tedious, what makes it all the more difficult is knowing that whatever you buy them is usually just for show, and has no practical use whatsoever. £30 for a bottle of something that stinks?
stand up for your beliefs at christmas, and touch her heart, buy her dishwasher.
I am also at a disadvantage, because my GF is going out with me - I mean, what do you buy a woman that has everything? <barf>

Blokes! Hopeless the lot of you!! You're married to the woman - and you ask a bunch of strangers for ideas?
then maybe a divorce would be the thing she'd welcome most!
Can't be ar5ed trawling the shops
