Serious thread about what to get the Mrs for Xmas

No rampant rabbit related suggestions thanks!!

I've been on Girlstuff and most of it is rubbish or fitness related and I can't be arsed with the hassle off trawling shops!

cheers

mj 13 December 2004 05:46 PM

seriousley, the rampant rabbit is a good idea, but get her a pair of slippers for the main present.

......if she doesn't like the slippers she can go and fcuk herself :D

RayC 13 December 2004 05:49 PM

RayC 13 December 2004 05:55 PM

A different angle,

Thanks

any ideas for sub £40 to put under the tree to make up present numbers?

Tidgy 13 December 2004 05:58 PM

does she like films? couple of dvd's. perhaps a bit of jewlery of some sort.

yoza 13 December 2004 06:14 PM

Forget the rampant rabbit, help her to put the 'tree up'.......:norty:

mj 13 December 2004 07:06 PM

 .

Markus 13 December 2004 07:17 PM

Sub £40, well, does she read? if so the latest book by her fave author, some cd's of music she likes, maybe some dvds.

What you get her depends on what she's into. I've had girls ask for a new iron, and no, I'm not joking, and yes, I did buy it, was one of those all singing all dancing type things. Seem to recall she got a washer/dryer for her birthday as well :D

Heartless? no, she said that is what she wanted. Romantic? oh of course not, but as some say "it's the thought that counts"

How about some scented bubble bath? facial scrub type stuff. Or £40 might get you a treatment at a spa for her.

If you want to get really soppy, you could make up fake "gift vouchers", something like "Entitles the bearer to a limitless shopping spree @ <insert shopping center name, or fancy shop name>" Some could see this as being somewhat lazy, but again, it is the thought element.

I've always found it hard to know what to get the ladies. Sparkly stuff is always appreciated, well, as long as it's not from Argos :D Sometimes something small, not that expensive will "win" over a massive expensive gift. Depends on the girl.

MJW 13 December 2004 07:22 PM

Scalextric ! :D

[edit] Audi TT racing edition of course !

mj 13 December 2004 07:46 PM

shopping for flat cocks is beyond tedious, what makes it all the more difficult is knowing that whatever you buy them is usually just for show, and has no practical use whatsoever. £30 for a bottle of something that stinks?

stand up for your beliefs at christmas, and touch her heart, buy her dishwasher.

I am also at a disadvantage, because my GF is going out with me - I mean, what do you buy a woman that has everything? <barf> :D

try www.asos.com

LG John 13 December 2004 08:04 PM

Great suggestion from Markus, give her a facial for xmas ;):D

mj 13 December 2004 08:11 PM

LOL, maybe a typo also:

"If you want to get really soapy"

J4CKO 13 December 2004 08:25 PM

Mine just buys stuff with my card, says you can get me that for Christmas for about 4 months and then asks what I am going to get her.

pmsl. Add 'kleenex' to the list of things, to help clear up after the 'facial' unless she is a good girl and swallows.

David Lock 13 December 2004 08:44 PM

Markus - you do add a touch of class to these threads

Perfume - 1/2 pint of what she uses. Never fails.

Markus 13 December 2004 09:51 PM

David - cheeky bugger! I had a 'nice' post earlier, twas SB who turned it around :p it's all his fault honest :D
