Question What will be the outcome....???

Yesterday. coming home from a hospital in Kent (150 mile round trip) I was following this Mondeo at silly speeds when we approached a roundabout with queueing traffic. Now us and the Mondeo had been motoring along the A21 (dual carriageway) for a few miles before the roundabout (us behind him). We brake and slow for the roundabout and merge with the queueing traffic when we hear sirens, we looked around but can not see any emergency vehicles..... then all the vehicles in front of the Mondeo move over and let him through.....
YES... he was the one with the siren and blue lights in his grille....

What are the chances of having a visit and who would be in the wrong.....him for doing excessive speeds in front of us, (not an emergency situation) or us for doing excessive speeds behind him?

Cheers for any info...
Joan.

I very much doubt they took any notice of you if they were responding to an emergency

No, at first they weren`t, it wasn`t until we merged with traffic on a roundabout that they put their sirens on and went through the traffic.... but we were following them previous to that for about 3 miles at speed???????

They would only be putting the sirens on to get through the traffic. Be very surprised if you got a visit. He may have a word if he sees you again though.

Didn't you notice them? I mean if they have lights on the front then wouldn't they have lights at the rear? Uniform?

I doubt you'll hear anything as they would have pulled you pre-emergency, unless they were on the emergency but just used the lights and sirens when it was built up to warn others of their presence, which is likely.

Either way I'd say you were safe but I'd have thought you would have clocked them earlier.

We were a bit puzzled too....there was no signs at the back of the car, no lights, nothing....
It was only when they put the sirens on, they went through the traffic....probably wasn`t an emergency anyway....they just probably didn`t want to sit in the traffic like everyone else!!!!

Oh well, just look at it as lesson learned

Could have been a blood mobile or something?

I had an odd one on the A1(m) a few months ago - I was driving along and suddenly a little white corsa van shot down a slip road and fed into the fast lane behind me at about 90 - next thing I hear a Police siren, so hit the brakes and looked around but couldnt see anything - then I notice the Corsa van behind had flashing WHITE lights in the grille? I moved over and it gave a feeble beep as it shot past - odd tho as it was unmarked, just with white grille lights!!
