Thumbs down Ebuyer nightmare....

I dont know if anyone uses Ebuyer, but seriously think twice before you do. Ive used them loads in the past, but wont be again....

Bought a "SILVER Iiyama TFT monitor" from Ebuyer.com on the 10th of October - monitor arrived 2 days later, but it was white not silver. You cant call Ebuyer anymore, have to contact them via 'e-notes'. So I sent a note explaining the mistake, 3 days later get a reply saying to arrange for a collection. I did this and they collected the screen 2 days later.

Heard nothing from them for about a week, so I sent another e-note asking what was going on. After a few more days I got a very breif reply something like, 'replacement will be sent'.

In the meantime I contact Iiyama to find the model I ordered ISNT AVAILABLE IN SILVER!!

I sent another e-note explaining that I wanted a refund, was not prepared to wait any longer, and that the model advertised in silver isnt available in silver.... then today I turn up from work to find another WHITE one has been delivered

Anyone know where I can find an address to send a letter of complaint?

Pain in the a** when things like this happen. At least in a shop you can go back but you're battling against a faceless organisation. Good luck m8 but think you'll be stuck with it.

Shame.
I've used ebuyer on numberous occassions, and always had first class service. Always get the goods next day.

I guess someone somewhere has made a typo on this one. Ultimately, there HAS to be a human contact somewhere in the orgnisation. If you phone dir enqs, I wonder if they'd have a number for them...

Alteratively, there is perhaps a phone number registered with the DTI.

Im certainly going to send it back (or rather get them to come and collect it), then buy another model from elsewhere. Thing is they clearly advertise it as silver, when it is only available in white or black!! Im sure I wont be forced to keep it, as surely they cant legally advertise something as silver when it isnt?

Lack of communication from ebuyer has been terrible, so Im certainly going to be writing a letter of complaint.

I have used Ebuyer for nearly 2 years for buying components for my business - and have spent nearly £130K with them in that time...!!!
There service has been a bit crap in the last couple of months - especially with regard to returns though. Apparently they are short staffed....???
They do have a phone support number now as stated above

I have never had a problem with them including RMA's, but if I did I would take the rough with the smooth.
After all, they are usually the cheapest by quite some margin and always deliver promptly. All IMHO of course.

had a nightmare with them. Their customer service was sh1te. Try Novatech, much better and pretty much just as cheap - one quid extra gets you a whole better company......

I visited their warehouse this week. The address given is:

Unit F
Holbrook Green
Holbrook
S20 3something or other
Sheffield

This is not where they are actually located though. They're on Holbrook Avenue in a large orange roofed unit under the name of Bonar Plastics. There was no sign saying Ebuyer anywhere but it is them.
I don't know whether the warehouse will be able to help but it's a start.HTH.

I've never had any problems with them and have gotta say you've had a bad deal with them, without a doubt. Hope you get sorted - you should do!

As far as the warehouse goes, sadly in this day would you really stick a sign above a PC component warehouse advertising the fact to all the local thugs? I wouldn't...

I've had 10 times more trouble from PC World, telling me (IT Director) a load of bull**** when their products go wrong.

Went in with a PDA that kept having to be HARD RESET, and he kept telling me that this was normal, I then informed him that my entire workforce had the same model and mine was the only one, he then insisted that his did the same.

I had to get the main manager accross, who was not amused at the litlle plebs nonsense and I got a replacement - which works perfectly.

I use a combination of ebuyer, overclockers, aria, and diskdepot, as these are the best for different things.

I would be upset though if in your situation, as e-notes system is a pain.

Good point but as I was delivering to them and it took me 22 minutes to find them-I know because I was fuming,I have roughly 3 minutes to find and deliver the parcels so this meant even more of a rush for me to get everything else done. They also had someone else ring up whilst I was there who couldn't find it either.
