Nope - it's to do with your wheels - you have the wheels on them then you have the fine.... but other Councils/police forces may do it differently... Sorry!

go back to where you got done, check the lines to see if there is a clean breaks anywhere in the lines (ie, worn away must be a clean break only needs to be a cm thats all),and go to the end of the lines and see if they end like this ======| now a lot dont get repaired and end up like this ===== now if this is the case then they cannt do you again 100% and tested by me

If it is the case that the lines are broken/not capped, get a picture of said line, as they have been known to whizz out and touch them up if someone appeals on that basis

I once was about to move my car, as I had parked about 50% on double yellow lines, with the rear wheels on them, the front of the car parked legally. Traffic warden informed me that both wheels needed to be on the lines before he could write me a ticket, and my car was leggaly parked. This was in Scotland though, so not sure if same rules apply ?

If there's a break in the lines....our council started to put double yellows down but due to parked cars, they had to miss a car's length of road. Took them ages to finish it off cos people kept parking there all the time and nothing could be done about it. I think it was done at 3am in the end - nice overtime for the contractor!

they LIFTED the cars parked at the side of the road in order to paint underneath them, then plonked them back down!!!!!
