Unhappy Emlyn Hughes has died
Just been announced!

Great footballer, addictive laugh when he was on QoS.

Met him once when he came round the office I used to work in. He was like he came across on TV. Sound bloke.

The only real moment of QOS I ever remember was when Princess Anne was on Emlyn's team and he made a huge gaff. I think he was genuinley worried he'd comitted treason or something. I also think he chose 'away' all the time, because he knew he'd get asked "Who represented Congo in the world Domino toppling champioships' or the suchlike.

The Week before they had the picture board contest (The Picture was Princess Anne) and Emlyn guessed it was Pat Eddery (Or some other bloke). It was then He was told it Was HRH Princess Anne and She would be on his team next week .

Real Shame - Emlyn was a true ambassador for Football, Liverpool and England - A truly great man.

Like a typical kid following a successful team, I was a big fan of Liverpool during the 70's. He'll be sadly missed, and not just by Liverpool fans.

this may be a great loss to you....but i assume you apprecaite that the deaths of two such different people (one of whom ppl prob have to ask their dad who it even is) is hardly a "dropping like flies" issue.
