Another name that song - Something about sandstorms and salt lakes?
Got woke up yesterday at roughly midday.
Song playing on the radio was a weird little thing, sounded like an old drum'n'bass track with the drums and bass removed, and had someone singing about sandstorms and salt lakes.
They didn't bother to name the song, just announced "Number 19" and went on to some generic girl band crap so I assume it was the charts.
Mix96 do not list the charts on their site and do not state who they buy their charts from, song does not seem to appear in the Radio1 charts.
Any idea what it was?

Edit: just checked against an MP3 collection and it definately isn't that. That song is much happier and bouncier and it's trance.
It was most definately not trance, commercial dance or happy hardcore.
The effects used in the background reminded me old DnB songs such as Scotty III and I can honestly say I've not heard anything like it in the top 40 for many years.
It did appear to be in a chart show, though it's hard to verify as both of us hated the next song so hit snooze and went back to sleep.

Saltwater was the other song i was gonna sugest but you cant really understand any off the words and i dont think the words sandstorm or anything similar are mentioned in it, it has a kinda celtic feel too it
What about that Calm before the storm i mentioned by darude did you give that a go ?

I'm going to have to look for copies of both of those.
But I dont really think it had a celtic feel, the words were quite clear even though I'd just woken up and unless Darude has radically changed style since doing Sandstorm I doubt it would be by him.

Oooh, that could well have been it.
No I'm not sure about the lyrics, it's the song that woke me up after all.
Unfortunately I have no bandwidth until Friday now, so can't confirm it. Does the style match up with my attempt at a description, and is it in the charts right now?

Well according to the website thay also did shake that *** (which I hate) and the beat in the song does sound similar.
Unfortunately it needs Windows Media Player and has decided that my compatible player is no good, so I still can't confirm if it's the right one.
Edit: Found a copy, yes that is the song that woke me up.
Hooray, it's been bugging me for nearly a week now!
