At this stage, yes.

AFAIK there's other parties but the democrats and the republicans are very dominant. Bit like labour and tory would be the only two parties if it came to a battle of two people for the leadership.

Conservative = Republican
Labour = Democrat
Lib Dem = Ralph Nader.

Except that RN only gets about 3% of national support, even the Lib Dems get more than that...
