leather repair / cleaning / renovation
the leather trim in my car is old and tired looking, i think mainly its just filth in the grain so mainly a good clean will sort it out superbly
also in places is worn on the seat bolster etc ive been told that can be coloured easily and improved greatly and products can be bought
anyone in the know on this subject? got any tips?
its a sandy beigey colour leather

be careful what you use to clean your leather with, depending on which tannery the leather originally came from can effect how it reacts with different substances.
try the simple approach first, damp cloth, dont rub too vigerously as you may take the colour out of the leather. there are some leather 'rejouvinators' but whatever you try make sure you try it first on the underside of the seat to see how it reacts.
do not use anything like white spirit to clean the leather (we use it here but you have to be damn careful), water is generally the best way forward.
