I remember some time ago someone from here had placed an advert on Ebay which someone else completely ripped off by copying the whole advert and using the same picture.

It's now happened to me and the cheeky sod has even emailed me asking about my product. Fuming!

Anyway, how do I go about reporting this as he's obviously just on the scam.

It was me- i have this loads, wih people copying and pasting my entire descriptions or stealing my pictures.
Ebay will remove the item and give them a warning within a few hours- they are really hot on this.

Go to:
1) report a prohibited item/listing violation
2) copying of your listing
3) Whichever is appropriate
then on the next page click on the 'email' link

They will sort it fast- ive lost count of the number of times ive had to do it!

well they are being lazy and copying someones description
or copying a picture taken by someone else
or its a total scam, they copy the description and picture and sell it- when it doesnt even exist

i make the effort to photograph my items and to write a decent description, and im not happy about some turd being lazy and swiping it.

I have my scripts nicked as well. I'm not fussed if people take hints and make their's look similar but when they just copy and paste it hacks me off. It also looks to potential bidders as if you're in cahoots with these *****.

This gets even better, the dozy tw@t has even e-mailed my highest bidder saying they bought the same product off me 3 months ago (Even though I only registered last month) and is offerring it to them at a cheaper price.
