Default Anyone recommend a Band?

Sister is getting married in Kent and we cannot find a band for the reception..

Anyone recommend a decent one?

Only found one so far and they want £2500!! FFS
If they were called U2 then £2500 would be worth while.. lol

After some up lifting pop songs to get people dancing etc..

Thanks

Simon

I would have expected the Spice Girls to pay JGM more than £20 each to play at the wedding

£3000 will get you Jason Donovan to do 3 songs or Chesney Hawkes to do 2 hours.

Thumbs up

Ignition are booked for our reception in Feb, when we get back to the UK....

Not sure how far they travel, but we went to see them last month at another wedding and they kept the dancefloor packed throughout the night.

Song list is on the website and they'll rehearse any first dance song you want.

They charged us around £600 but we do know some of the band.

My sister had a fantastic band for her wedding in Essex last year. There were quite a few of them and they were very much like 'The Commitments' and played a bluesy/r n b/soul (the old school stuff, not the modern crap) set complete with mental lead singer and full brass section. They were brilliant and had the dance floor packed from the minute they came on to the minute they left, everyone was dancing all night, it was a truly great evening and everyone agreed they were the best wedding band they'd ever seen. I know it's not quite what your sister is looking for but do you want me to get their details anyway? I know they wouldn't have been too expensive as we kept costs down for my sis's wedding.

The last wedding I went to had a DJ and he was truly, truly awful, think Peter Kay in his 'Live from Bolton Albert Hall' DJ sketch

Scoobychick,

Yep, seriously the more details the better as then they can find something they like rathger than having to go with the only one that they can get for the date etc..

Many thanks all and very happy to have some details to pass on.
