Looking for best instand access savings account for my 8 year old.
She wants to start saving money (very grown up !!) plus we are going to add to it on a regular basis - so want the best rate / fun account for her ..... any ideas ?

Good rates - looking also for a "fun" account too - where she gets sent stuff etc.
Was digging around in the loft yesterday & found an old "Griffin Saver" from HSBC...dunno if that sort of thing is still around with other banks ?

Nationwide Smart 2 Save account, good rates, free height chart, birthday card, and magazines.
Pop into your branch and get a leaflet.

depends what you are after good return or rubbish gifts.
A lot of the kids accounts have lower interest rates but offer magazines cards ect.
When we looked at this the best deal was a halifax monthly saver ( a adult account) and we asked the bank to supply the kids stuff (money box ect) and they put them on the kids mailing list as well.
We also opened a witan henderson trust fund as well but we pay into that.
The rates change and the accounts also so you have to shop around. and keep changing to stay ontop of the game.
