Wink Who's into Golf?

Just been to an indoor golf simulator in North Wales and had a cracking time... It was really good playing on the simulators to be honest, I thought it wouldn't be that much fun. But was really impressed.

yeah i tried one of these before, not bad, but pretty much the price you pay to have a go you can get a round for! (not at Augustus or St Andrews mind you)

I found them a little hit and miss if you excuse the pun, they didnt seem to register the power and direction as well as i had hoped.

Good enough though, definately worth trying.

To a Golf novice like me I found them great, and honestly quite realistic. Lol, and no worries about messing the greens up Apparently they have the very latest software, and its supposed to have come a long way in the past year, or so.

There's plans to have them networked up, so I guess in the future you'll be able to play against someone on the other side of the world

how close are you to the screen? ie, can you shank it and the shot not register?

(hoskib, who has caught a dose of the shanks by the way. only thing that's not shanking is the driver or putter.so not much use on the par 3's then)

Lol, well it took me ages to play half a round. All the holes I played were Par three, and best was 5 or 6 I found I was good at hitting the bunkers and the lakes

You can lamp the ***** as hard as you like and they do track where would have gone. Had a great laugh

Chins, I'm sure you would beat me, as I'm rubbish. However on the track, lol a different story

You ought to try it out. I think you might know the owner
