Yep, been there - great place. Kardamena (sp) is Brit-ville and very windy though. Worth hiring a car to get out and around the island even though it is tiny. Enjoy it !

I just got back form Kos town 3 weeks ago and the place was lovely 
The weather was spot on when we went and everyone was very helpful and the food was the best I've ever experienced 
The only place on the island I didn't like was Kardamena because it was too british for me and full of chavs 
Shame really because the shops there were great

We stayed in the Neptune Beach resort in Mastihari and visited Kardamena along with many of the other towns. Gotta say it was a strange experience eating liver, bacon and mash for lunch on a Greek island in 35 degree heat
Agree with you about the shops in Kardamena, those were great - Kos capital was also excellent as were the roman ruins at Asklepeio - just don't plan on going there in the middle of the day as it was roasting hot when we did it - the kids were NOT amused !

Im going to Kardamena on the 6th!!
My g/f got us a week there for my birthday, shops to keep her amused and chavs to keep me amused lol.
Well looking forward to some time away, aint been on hols since Rhodes 2 years ago.

Yup, had a week in Kos Town in June, nice place that combines the drinking culture side on bar street with the olde town further in, and loads of tavernas. The beach was a bit crowded and its not sandy but otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.
Kardamena is Blackpool with heat, hated it personally. Kos Town deffo the best place we saw.
