Yep, been there - great place. Kardamena (sp) is Brit-ville and very windy though. Worth hiring a car to get out and around the island even though it is tiny. Enjoy it !

I just got back form Kos town 3 weeks ago and the place was lovely :) The weather was spot on when we went and everyone was very helpful and the food was the best I've ever experienced  The only place on the island I didn't like was Kardamena because it was too british for me and full of chavs :( Shame really because the shops there were great :(

We stayed in the Neptune Beach resort in Mastihari and visited Kardamena along with many of the other towns. Gotta say it was a strange experience eating liver, bacon and mash for lunch on a Greek island in 35 degree heat :)
Agree with you about the shops in Kardamena, those were great - Kos capital was also excellent as were the roman ruins at Asklepeio - just don't plan on going there in the middle of the day as it was roasting hot when we did it - the kids were NOT amused ! |
Damn beaten to it...I was gonna ask the same thing!!
Im going to Kardamena on the 6th!! My g/f got us a week there for my birthday, shops to keep her amused and chavs to keep me amused lol. Well looking forward to some time away, aint been on hols since Rhodes 2 years ago. |
Yup, had a week in Kos Town in June, nice place that combines the drinking culture side on bar street with the olde town further in, and loads of tavernas. The beach was a bit crowded and its not sandy but otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.
Kardamena is Blackpool with heat, hated it personally. Kos Town deffo the best place we saw. :) |
