Why wont they leave me alone!!!

The phone has been ringing none stop this week with people either after myself or my dad trying to sell us things/upgrades. Or telling us we entered one of their competitions last year when we blatently didnt!!!

It gets me also how they have foreign people working for them who cant even speak proper english!! A must if your working in telesales i think!

It must pay well as i would never dream of doing such a job!

I'm currently debating whether to join the TPS, or to start winding up the callers, recording the calls and making a web site of them.

Had a call from a home improvement company ages ago - pre-empted them by starting with "I already have double glazing, new soffits and fascias, a new garage door. We haven't got room for a conservatory or extension, I dont want a loft conversion, my drainpipes are fine and I'm quite happy with my driveway not being block paved." Was quite pleased with myself, thinking I'd covered all angles, but he managed a comeback - "Did I have a problem with moss on my roof tiles" Aaargh!

Before i was on TPS my favourite repost was to ask the persons name and an address I could forward my invoice for the £50.00 I charged for answering questions over the phone!! they soon cut you off

the best thing is when they ring sound as if youre really interested then put them on hands free and sit in silence whilst they wonder where you've gone!

Or if youre really norty, put them on hands free and turn the volume up on that p0rno youre watching! At least they will ring off with a twitch in their pants!

I have 4 telesales girls working for me. We get about 60% of people who I manage to save at least 50 squid a month on their mortgage. most people think its a scam, cos telesales always is. none of my girls speak with a curried accent

as above, telesales works so it will ALWAYS go on.

and winding telesales ppl up.....are you serious? these ppl are paid to talk on the phone all day.....you really think they give a toss that someone tries to be witty??? the "witty" ones claim they do it because they want to get back at telesales for wasting their time.....yet the telesales person will ignore it and go on to the next call while you then tell all your friends how clever you were thus wasting more time than if you had simply said "no thanks" and hung up.
