Florida Villas
Me and the missus are planning a trip to Orlando Florida next year with another couple. We want to stay in a villa.
Does anyone have any recommended web sites/companies for villas or flights etc. as I reckon we can do it cheaper than just going to the travel agents.
Cheers,
Gareth

A few
Although primarily a site that caters for adapted villas for wheelchair access, I know they won't lose a booking just because you can all walk.
The Kevin Murtagh villa is great only Port Richey isn't near to Disney and such like. Busch gardens isn't far though nor are lots of other places. Get a V8 and ride with it!!
Sue Fishers place is good too, a friend and his wife and another couple stayed there and they had 2 good working legs each.

We stayed at this villa in May this year:
FLORIDA VILLA
It was FANTASTIC
I was nervous about booking it via the internet as we were getting married while out in Florida so I wanted everything to be perfect, and it was.
The villa was loads better than I was expecting, it looked good on the website but was bigger and better in real life.
I cannot honestly think of any thing I would have changed about the villa, it even has free telephone calls ( local AND to UK! ) and its very private around the pool as it backs on to a conservation area so no nosey neighbours looking back at you.
You can check availability via their website too (its already fully booked to the end of April)
We went 1st May and the weather was great, hot but not too hot, and not overly busy at the parks. Its not the hurricane season then either!
As you can guess I think this villa isnthe mutts nuts!
If you contact the owners, tell then Rob & Suzanne recommended you.
Bob - In NO way connected with this villa other than a very happy gueast!

Try Virgin Atlantic for flights.
Flights were cheaper as "Fly Drive" with a hire car than flight only and if you book online you get 10% discount!
We upgraded to first class and it was worth every penny

We stayed in a villa exactly the same as 4x4 bob has posted in the same area but a couple of roads down. For a 5 bed 4 bathroom villa we paid £650 a week for high season (it was about 500 low season i think) and booked with bookflorida.co.uk who are basically a family who have bought a couple of villas. They were very helpful and the villa was beautiful...

We went in Feb 2001, and stayed in a villa owned by a Florida couple. He's a doctor, she runs the villa business. I think they had 6 at the last count.
Cant fault them. House was exactly as described, we had my 12 month old daughter with us and the microwave blew up at 9am. Now, when your getting up at 2am, a microwave to warm the bottles up is an essential! House owner had a repairman there by 1300, fixed by 13-30.
