Bratislava (Slovakia)
Got to go for a few days on business. Anyone else been? What are the people like? Anything I should see or do for the little time I will have free there?

Blimey!!! This is a blast from the past!!
Must say, the quality of accommodation ranged from very nice, to very not nice! However, it was cheep as chips over there. In the very nice hotel, a three course gourmet meal with a couple of bottles of the local brew cost about £6!
Friendly people though.

Not stopping there though, just passing through heading east. So unlikely I'll have many recommendations for you.

I was there a good few years back, men in long black coats were at pretty much every shop and usually had a bleached blond woman with them, vacant look in the eyes. Quite pleasant really.

Depends. Is it a stag do? If so, I recommend Kotva. The only place to go in Bratislava in my opinion - for that sort of thing.
Its a good 10 minute cab ride out of town, you will wonder where you are going at first, but well worth it. Cabbie will park himself and wait for when you want to go back! Very strange I thought.
If you are there with the Missus, definitely DO NOT go to Kotva, unless she is very kinky!!
Centre of the city has many bars and restaurants, with good food and the beer is about 70p a pint - nice stuff too.
Enjoy.
