lol at mad dr! my mate brought a place in courchevel last year! some what reduces the cost of skiing tho don't forget the small matter of a lift pass unless you are just planning on spending all your time in The Morris/Dicks/Banana bar/Saloon Bar * delete as appropriate!
Have a good one only 3-4 months before the snow starts falling I can't wait!

I have my itinerary all worked out:
Day 1: Arrive, have a drink, down a slope, crash and break something inside me.
Day 2 - 14: In the bar.
Day 15: Home.
Can't wait!

I'm hoping my ski season will start at the end of November 2004. I didn't start skiing here until January this year, got about 18 days altogether. Reckon I should get 25+ days skiing this season

They used to have a slope with a ski lift built by the Americans at Goose Bay, or near Happy Valley anyway. Wonder if thats still going.
At the very least it was a barrel of laughs with aircrew trying to learn how to ski

How weird, I was just thinking about this today.
Not sure where I'll be going, but I'm def going somewhere. Would really like to go to whistler, but I got a feeling it will cost alot.
Need new snowboard boots, trousers and jacket. PM me if you can help.

Yep, Feb, looks like anyway, courtesy of the in-laws, no way could I afford for the 5 of us (Me, Wife and three kids) to go ski-ing, been to Les Gets twice though not this year so it will be a shock, need to get fit again.

Borovets (Bulgaria), cheap cheerful plenty to do in the evening. Skiing I guess would be good / snowboarding OK cheapness makes up for walking / taxi from end of piste to lift.
Going back with the lads next year. Went this year for a stag do, was a good laugh.
