Default Any travel agents out there?

Our 17 year old son wants to go on holiday with his mate. Suspect this is not a very good idea, but am investigating all the same.

Can a 17 year old go on holiday without their parents? Someone suggested to me that we would have to sign a parental guarantee type thing??

Thanks,
Simon

I think you know that you will have to let him go.

Even though you believe its a bad idea.

It may be a good thing, showing a bit of trust and cutting him some slack.

With his track record ( a couple of ' de-railments ' shall we say ) I can understand your predicament.

Just remind him about laws in different countries, how their prisons are operated and run etc, a bit ' Midnight Express ' stylee.

Im sure he will be fine, I myself (an upstanding law-abiding citizen ) have in my time been arrested and locked up in a Spanish Police 'Hotel'. Never again, I tell you, 16 years ago now and I remember every minute, of every hour, of every day, of my two night stay.

I can remember their equivellent of a desk sargent saying, " When you fly home English pig ? "

" This is the 4th day of a two week stay." I replied.

" Right, you stay with me untill then. " he said.

Shat myself....

It wasnt four star, shall we say.

Its a learning process, and that lesson was well and truly LEARNT.

What can you do ?

Later Yoza.

PS. Can't make Oulton..........working.

I'm just jealous cos I'm too old to do it myself now

I can't afford the time nor the money to bail him out again if he stirs up a sh it storm for himself out there. retrieving him from the local nick was once a regular occurrence- having to go out there and get him is something else entirely.

I know that we'd have to bok it for him as he can't book it himself at 17, just unsure as to what else is involved???
