Get off at junction 6 and head towards Windsor, Runnymead then Egham
Traffic shouldn't be too bad

Not that bad when the kids are off I believe. The big bottle neck can also be 8/9 but that normally flows while the brats are at home

Egham is Jct 13 M25. There are road works on this stretch of M25 so traffic is pretty bad at this time.

That's why it's easier to cut across country

It's not a great blast though
If you want a bit of a blast get off at junction 10 and cut across but that's asking for trouble

Better take the Scenic, either that or allow an extra 20 mins for the 3 re-fuelings you will need

You won't need sat nav, it's easy to find

You could alternatively get off at Junc 10, head through Bracknell and get on the A30. Bracknell at the moment is great because of the school holidays, so you should get to Egham quicker this way than going down the M4 to J6 IMO.
