Virgin Atlantic planes.......
#2
Hello
They are 3 - 4 - 3 in economy.
The good thing is you probably wont get a weirdo, however as you are going to Florida you will get lots of children. For 9 hours. Screaming. Shouting. Running. Smelling. It's not too late to upgrade to Premium economy!
That aside, Virgin are a great airline. Have a good flight.
Steve.

VS dont run 767's only A340-300's and A340-600's and 747-400's on their long haul, the 340-600 being a stunning plane and as far as I know its the longest passenger aircraft in the world.
I'll get my anorak LOL

If you're flying into Orlando, I think you'll find it's this seating plan: http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/gb...dex.jsp?type=3

Comfort
The wife and I have gone for Virgin Atlantic flights this time.
Flying out late October in Premium Economy,
Returning in early November in Upper Class.
We are pretty much stuck to the dates that
we can travel and have decided to go without
our 12 yr old on this occasion
We have already flown Premium and had a great time on the way out
Is Upper Class that much better ? I have read the specifications and menus but dont have many actual replies

Think they've recently redesigned some of the upper class decks

747 is 3-4-3 and economy is cramped but service is good.
The larger, single deck planes (330 I believe) are 3-3-3, equally as cramped.
This is in my experience, I'm sure others have had different experiences with the service.

1) You can eat whenever you want. Food is on the same par as BA and AA First Class
2) Movies on demand. A very wide selection of films (more than 20) which you can watch whenever you want. AA and BA resort to giving you a mini-DVD player which gets in the way as you have to plug wires in and stuff. The newer AA planes just have a mini video tape built in to the seat - but the tapes are always buggered. Either way having 20 films on demand is better than selecting one or two films when you board.
3) You get these pyjammas. I'll never forget the guy who arrived in business atire, went to the bathroom and changed in to his jim jams and gave the stewardess all his dirty laundry (undies and all). She didn't even blink - but proceeded to hang eveything up
4) Massage! Believe it or not they have a masseuse (spelling!) on board. Most of the time you can get a booking and they give you a back and neck rub during the flight.
5) Best lounge. They have a restaurant where the food is free. Much better than BA or AA which at most just have sandwiches. Best thing on the New York flight was to eat before you took off on the red eye. That way you can sleep most of the way and get about 5 hours - which is just about enough for the next day.

Virgin Upper
Urmmm I would disagree that Virgins Upper is better than BA First?
Im sorry but BA's First is soooo much better than Virgin Upper. Virgin Upper is at best equal to BA Business.
