Default Homemade beer

Hello

Simple home made beer: http://eartheasy.com/eat_homebrew.htm

I haven't tried it, but would be interested in the results if anyone feels brave enough!

I make my own, usually from high quality kits. If done correctly it should be at least as good as if not better than pub beer I do only make Ale though, not sure how the lager kits would stack up against pub fare. Several of my friends have commented on mine saying it's as good as pub beer

The recipe in the web site is not very good, it will work, you can make beer from malt extract, sugar and yeast, but it won't taste very good. You need to add hops at least to give it flavour. However the equipment list is good, all you need to get started is a fermenting bin, some syphon tube and bottles or a barrel to put the finished product in.

For ingredients buy a beer kit instead £5 -£15 from your local homebrew shop, follow the instructions on the kit. Remember to steralise everything before you start, this is vital or your brew will go bad. Agin the hombrew shop will be able to sell you suitable steralising products.

Happy brewing

Try Sloe Gin, or Damsons instead-lovely stuff when it has matured.
