NEW Road Angel Versus Origin B2 - FINAL ANSWERS PLEASE!!!
Hello,
Can anyone realistically compare the new Road Angel and the Origin B2, from the perspective of the law change on radar detectors etc. Both roughly the same price. What is the most up to date, looks wise and reliability etc etc
What is the best accident black spot detector etc, disregarding LRC100 etc etc
Thanks,
Brian

I'm getting an Origin B2 as I've heard a few road angel owners are swapping over - so there must be a good reason!
I understand that the Origins database is a lot easier to update, hence it gets done more by the users.
It's also better looking

The new RA is an improvement but it's still butt ugly.
The Origin doesn't need to be on the dash so it can be hidden out of sight from prying eyes - fair enough you can remove the RA from the window but you'd get tired of doing it eventually.
Looked into both systems and plumped for the B2 (just sent my cheque off) - The origin seems to have more expandability - and the larger display seems a lot clearer and more informative.

b2 is excellent.
New Road Angel looks better I think, but if you really want to go for soemthing, check out the brand new b2 solo on the website. Built in aerial so now it is easier to use. b2 never let me down although they have been taking a long time to update the database on the M25 roadworks. Still, customer service is excellent...

Am signed up for the group buy on RA 2 but the B2 does look very good and I prefer the idea of not having the damn thing mounted on the screen or dash!!
The B2 Group Buy seems to be very good - any ideas why it is so cheap?!

Never had a B2. Got old RA and PDA with the pocket gps database. Do 1500 miles per month and not been let down in over 12 months. Horses for corses I guess, RA does me just fine and dandy

Not all, Notts just give a vague outline for example and I don't think Derby give out anything, you'll have to check your local SCAMERA partnership website

I know Cumbria police "advertise" where their vans are going to be, not sure if you can sign up to a newsletter though...
