Top shelf mag.......
After reading on here about TOTB3, I thought I'd pick up "Redline" whilst in the petrol station this morning.
I couldn't find it at first, until my eyes reached the top shelf, where it was sitting amongst the other adult titles
I felt the cashier's glare burning the back of my neck as I reached up to take it from the shelf, and as I paid for it, she actually managed to make me feel a bit guilty, like I had just lifted a copy of Mayfair or Playboy! lol
The cover was innocent enough with a few car pics and a big breasted chick, but other than that, it was obviously not ****.
Or so I thought.
When did car mags become over-run with soft **** type articles and pics?
If I wanted soft **** then I certainly wouldn't embarass myself by buying it in a petrol station. (not with the wonders of broadband! )
I remember when the likes of Revs and Redline first came out, and they were genuinely "car" mags. Now the cars play second fiddle to the totty.
I guess it must be supply and demand.
Quite sad really.
Just as well I'm a "Jap Performance" and "Banzai" man at heart!
Incidentally, I saw a car in the for sale section of another mag (Revs) that may be of interest.....
Its a Citroen AX GT with 18" wheels and fancy paint and a 32" sub.
Price?
£12,000 WTF??????
Rant over!

I just walk up to the counter with my copy of "Razzle" or similar and look them straight in the eye. No problems, even if it's a newsagent full of people. Can't understand the problem myself.
The only thing I feel embarrassed about is when I buy the Sun or the Star- for the racing pages.

I've had a similar experience many moons ago whilst buying Max Power. Lady at the counter took one look at the breasts on the cover and stared at me as if I was some woman starved **** junkie.
Never bought one agian. Liked Revs until that went same as the rest so I get EVO instead from time to time or Jap performance car if I can find it.
