Default Couriers - any recommendations?

Anybody got a good courier they used based in Oxford area?

I've got some exhibition boards that need deilvering to Herefordshire, and my tried and tested courier has basically said that they can be bothered!!!

Anybody got some good guys they use?

I think that they are all as good / bad as each other but personally would avoid City Link as I seem to spend half my day on the phone sorting out parcels they have sent out to the wrong location on behalf of ourselves.
Amtrak are my personal favourite

I've found all courier companies to be basically the same. You get good depots & bad depots. For instance, in reply to the prev poster, the Taunton Amtrak depot is TERRIBLE, so bad that I will never order from anyone using Amtrak as I know the item will not get delivered. Amtrak in general is fine, but if you happen to live near Taunton, you may as well forget it! The same applies to other couriers.

echo what richard said, citylink are crap, guarentee that any urgent parcel is

a) missed off the list
b) sent to the wrong depot
c) driver did not turn up to collect in the first place
d) turned up at the address to find no one in!!! (admittedly they only check the first door they can find, regardless that the door is open, cars are parked on the premises and there is an office block there full of people - they post a card and bugger off

Just been moaning at them this morning...

may be worth getting a price from royal mail, recorded delivery -

couriers are the main cause of all my working nightmares, that and the family members i work with.

Try "North Oxfordshire Couries" - based in Banbury. Not got the number to hand but I'm sure those two chaps at 118 118 will have their number.

Never let use down.

Thanks guys.
I've ended up using a local small courier who will drive there and back to pick the package up.

Sorted
