Been Burgled!
Early hours of Saturday morning.
They broke in through the garage door and in through our utility.
Cleared out the dining room but no further. Got my laptop cameras, wallet, cheque books, phones, bluetooth headset, CD’s, car keys (not the car) other computer stuff, usb memory sticks, etc. Jenny’s watch and other stuff
They took all of our coats from the cupboard – apparently they go through them looking for signatures and pin numbers.
We where in bed at the time which is scary!
At least they did not come upstairs.
They did a couple of other houses on our estate as well, or at least the Police think it was them.
The car had to be towed away for a new set of keys/locks, immobiliser reprogrammed
I am fecking mad as hell about it!

Thats absolutely sickening.
Hope the scum that did this die from an O.D. of the drugs they're probably gonna buy with the money.

SOCO should be around soon, when we were screwed this meathead and his mate turned up, he was a civie and self employed.
I thought, here we go......
He was well clued up though, took a swab from a piece of duct tape that the scum had put over my window before smashing it, and hey presto scum is now locked up.
Got him on DNA through his spit, credit were credit is due, the Police did their job well, and kept us all informed as to what was going on.
Everything is sorted with us now, other than a box of watch links that the insurance wouldnt pay for, so I hope you get sorted soon.
Later Yoza

Scary what can happen. Hope the scum get caught and so glad for you that they never came upstairs. Still, no amount of "sorry's" from people will make up for what you have had taken or for the fact that your home was violated by strangers

Not much point in having an alarm then!
Most burglaries are at night .............?
We set ours at night, if we need to go downstairs we just opo and switch it off then reset it when we go back up to bed, only takes a few seconds and worth the piece of mind.

Sorry to hear that Paul
At least no one was harmed.
Get a zoned alarm - well worth it for peace of mind.
Our non alarmed rooms are well protected as well

Anyway, what makes you think there would be anything left to complain?
TBH the prospect of any complaint being made after the police had dealt with the individual would be minimal - they take a more open view of justice up here

Sorry to hear that Paul. Obviously with our recent burgulary and the stealing of my lovely little car, I totally understand what you're going through.
Even weeks on, I check the doors are locked a few times before going to bed and am getting to the point of obsession about home security.
It's awful to think some scummers have been in your house while you were there. I'm hoping it will pass over time.......
