Bloke goes to jail - turns out he's innocent - Story of good vs evil.
Stephen King wrote the original story 'Rita Hayworth & The Shawshank Redemption'.
Watch it all the way through - well worth the time. One of the most emotional endings of any film I've ever scene IMO...

Often makes all-time Top Ten lists.
Personally, i thought the ending was banal, but when i say that, everybody usually says i'm talking nonsense, so i guess it must be me then.

Love the film and the book, agree with Telboy though the end
"I hope, I hope, I hope"
Is banal and IMHO cheesy in the extreme. Still a great story though.
