Angry TOTB III - No Children under 12! WTF

Just been to book my tickets for TOTB III and the web site says no children at all allowed on site under the age of 12. Sorry for the rant but can anybody explain this to me. Maybe I am mistaken.

Having been to Scooby Shootout this year, plus several air shows at Elvington I am at a loss as to why kids are excluded. I have also watched rallies and other such events without restriction. What gives?

My 5 year old son was really looking forward to this - as was his dad. Much as I love my motorsport I will be spending the day with my boy.

Rant over

It's not OK - states clearly...

No children under 12 allowed on site, no unaccompanied children either.

Probably something to do with insurance claims, suing etc.

Whatever it is - I bet the Americans are to blame

Thumbs down

If you look on the TOTB website homepage, there is a tickets section to the right hand side, if you click this it gives different info to the top toolbar piece, it says nothing about an age limit, only says children under 14 get in free.
I agree that its a shi$$er if children can't go, I will have one very dissapointed son also.....sumo.

Yes I can see, but nowhere on the right hand side link does it mention the age limit, this link can be taken all the way through purchasing, so it is very likely that some tickets have been bought totally unaware of the restriction.

It does seem a bit daft, I dont recall there being age restrictions at any of the other events, including last years TOTB

What about people who will be paying on the gate, are they going to get refused entry ??

Trax last year at Silverstone was full of scantily clad part time strippers etc, and the place was full of young kids

Hi guys,

following your feedback I have just dropped an email to Chris Mann, TOTBIII organiser, to ask him to clarify this (politely of course) and will feed back the answer here when received.

If anybody would care to post to 22b also that would be a help, or indeed if anybody knows Chris to call him up.

Thumbs up Update Guys - Good news

Had a quick response from Chris Mann - quote as follows:

Subject: RE: FAO Chris Mann - TOTB III Children Age Limit?

its an error on the site, one link to payment takes you to the correct page
(kids are allowed if accompanied by parent/guardian) but there is an old
page still where kids are not allowed under 12, as we were initially told by
site owners. this was resolved but unfortunately the webguy we use is on
hols at the mo!

if you can pass the message on that kids are allowed as above, and under 16
are free entry!

So there you go chaps all kids are allowed - and I shall be there with my boy - looking forward to it.
