Esholt near Shipley in West Yorkshire is where it used to be filmed. But I think they film somewhere which is closed off now to the public, too many visitors lol!

The new village and Woolpack is in the grounds of Harewood House just north of Leeds. Not sure about visiting the set, but Harewood is open to the public.

Apart from Emmerdale there is some beautiful scenery within easy reach and some really cracking roads which are well worth a blast - just watch out for the wandering sheep. ;-)

You can get close to it, I cycle through Harewood park once a week, but as said above access is not allowed without invitation.

This site will tell you everything you need to know and more about the "secret" location where Emmerdale is now filmed and the fact that the public have no access to the set. However it also includes ordanance survey maps and details of public footpaths that take you near to it

It also includes details of the locations of the opening shots. I live fairly near to the set and also want to go visit it which is how I came to find the above site. Yes I know I'm sad

There should be loads of B&Bs in the area, it's close to Leeds and Harrogate and only just out of the Dales national park.
