Default eBay - ToyPlanet **** up

Won an auction for a Canon MPC400 copier, printer, scanner + fax. Just opened the box and tried to get it set up - no telephone socket for the fax.

Emailed ToyPlanet who are blaming the distributor saying that its their fault and its only a copier, printer and scanner! Offered a full refund but I dont want the hassle of having to find something else.

Should I demand the same product with the fax functionality, a similar replacement, or what?

The main reason I bought it was for the fax functionality!

I'll try and see if they'll swap it for an MPC600F FOC ??

It hooks up to your PC so just send through your modem.

An Incredibly Fast, Photo-Quality Printer
Quality was never so quick! The MPC400 brings you the best of Bubble Jet technology, racing through monochrome text at the remarkable rate of 17ppm and breathtaking colour at 12ppm. With a resolution of 2400 x 1200dpi, you can count on sharp, easy-to-read text and photo-quality colour prints. Moreover, MicroFine Droplet Technology makes possible ink droplets as small as 5pl, so even the finest image details are accurately reproduced. And this versatile machine allows you to print on a wide variety of media - from transparencies to T-shirts transfers.

Superior Software
The MPC400 comes with MultiPASS Suite 4.0, a user-friendly system that lets you control the print and scan functions from your desktop. Documents scanned through MultiPASS Toolbar can be saved, edited or e-mailed. Of course, Toolbar settings can be customised, giving you access to your favourite features instantly.

Individual Ink Tanks
The innovative Canon Think Tanks System allows you to replace specific inks rather than buying a complete cartridge each time a single colour is depleted. This lowers operating cost because ink wastage is eliminated. Moreover, detectors in the ink cartridge warns you when levels are low so you won't waste time or resources by running out of a colour during a job.

A High-Resolution Scanner
As the importance of digital technology and the internet continue to increase, even small businesses greatly benefits from the ability to scan. The MPC400 incorporates Canon's innovative Contact Image Sensor technology to provide a full range of scanning capabilities. Optical resolution is a sharp 600 x 1200dpi, yet this can be enhanced and elevated to a stunning 9600dpi.
