Talking I-Pods (Buying from abroad)

Does anyone know if an I Pod bought on e-Bay from Germany is likely to have all German menus etc ?

Is it a simple matter to select English Language and away you go ??

Son bought one in Portugal, menu is in English. Forgot if he had to select it though. I wouldn't worry.

had my mini about a month now, from NY, a friend at work was at the shop as a delivery turned up, he bought 6, as above, simple menu selection, job done.

not overly impressed with the length the battery lasts, but easy enough to recharge, either via usb or the american voltage adapter i bought in uk. Funny though, whilst in Portugal the other week, was charging it via the 2pin plug with the american adapter to the pod, worked fine. lol.
