I may get it but have you seen the muppets selling it on Ebay already (states delivery in september) something like 30 odd quid & 5 quid delivery, the link they provide goes to amazon who are selling it for about 25 quid including free delivery

I think I shall be getting a copy. There are quite a few fans who are really upset that the box set contains the 'special edition' versions of the films and not the original versions. Not sure I mind that much really, as long as it's on DVD, that is the main thing.

I have two laserdisc sets.
The originals and the Special Edition Japenese box set that had Dolby Digital 5.1.
I paid just under £1k for the player and £45 a Movie wasn't uncommon.
Seems silly today when you can get a DVD player for under £20 and Movies for under a tenner.
I'll be buying the DVD box set because my latest amp doesn't have an RF demodulator so I can no longer use the 5.1 on laserdiscs.
Anyone know if the box set will be mixed in 5.1 EX like the Phantom Menance and Attack of the Clones or just plain 5.1

Cheapest DeModulator I ever came across was about £60 delivered so didn't bother.
I had over 100 Laserdiscs before DVD was launched, I have since duplicated nearly all of them on DVD due to getting the 5.1 and an anamophoric picture.
Sold some laserdisc to collectors but now wish i had kept them.
