Poll: are cowboy boots acceptable on blokes?
not for wearing with long black coats and all that goth bollix, you understand.
i've seen a few designer boot makers making them and have always liked them, so i've been wondering....
do you have/wear them? or are they a no no?

Anything in crocodile skin with cuban heels, pointed toes and that piece of stainless steel round the front is a fashion risk not worth taking.
Something like an RM Williams dealer boot (not a cowboy boot as such) is very nice.
Cheers

Even Goths don't wear cowboy boots - usually those sort of silly faux-biker boots with chrome plates everywhere which makes them look like some sort of malnourished golf-club.
For general day to day wear, I wouldn't bother. However if you have a blank-firing Colt Peacemaker and a Stetson, fill your boots (pardon the pun)

To reply to the thread title......YES.
They are very popular with Gay men, something to do with the YMCA culture.
I think.
Was there a cowboy, and was he wearing boots.
I remember an indian and a builder, but can think off the others.
