Default Cannonball run

I have a place booked on this years cannonball run. Only problem is that my co-driver has pulled out!!!!

Is there anyone on here that fancies taking their place?

I will supply the car, and yes it is an Atom

No tyre kickers please, you will need to prove a level of competence as the Atom is quick.....very quick!

Cool

Your Doing the Cannonball in an Ariel Atom.......

That is cool but you must be mad Would be true spirit of the Gumball stuff. Where is it this year USA again?

I would love to do it but am a wuss as I wouldnt even do it in a relatively nice big and comfy westfield with a big engine.

Has the co-drivers position been filled yet?

I don't suppose an ex vehicle technician, who drives across Europe regularly, has owned and driven several 160+ mph cars and has a few quid in the back pocket would be of any use as a co-driver by any chance?

Thumbs up

Just looked on yahoo for atom290. Few pics of something ariel atom shaped but with a 290hp supercharged engine.

Not a friend of fellys are you I am sure he once mentioned a car fitting this description.

Whats the weight of the atom? Must have a fearsome pwr/weight ratio......

Yes i'm a friend of fellys! Hes been helping me sort the car out.

The gearbox is a 6 speed sequential gemini box, the engine has been dyno'd at 290bhp, but we are currently making a few mods to the engine, with this in mind over 300bhp is possible.

Car weighs in at less than 500kgs!!

We have also made some changes to the aero dynamics. 170 is more than possible, so dont dismiss it quite yet

Oh and Nappies are optional

You will need to change your username to Atom300+ then

Are you fitting a large fuel tank for the run.....

Will John not ride with you he is familiar with big power westfields afterall.

Wink

It has been fitted with the biggest fuel tank possible, although it is only 10 Gallons!!

Unless the engine is on full chat the car should return approx 40 - 50 mpg

John is reluctant to play with his license.....big girl really!!!

As for the name, yes didnt really make allowances for that one
