I have the Panasonic one that Tesco sell £89 i think. And brought two of the Daewoo boxes £59 from Tesco (gave one to my bro). I think the Daewoo one is best tbh. You get a couple of music channels, TMF and The Hits which are not that bad at times.

I've had a few over the years and the new Pace with Hard Disk is the dogs.
I can't get Sky (trees) but the HDD allows you to 'pause' live TV and instantly record programmes whilst watching another Freeview channel. Something other single tuner boxes don't allow you to do.
To me, this is pretty cool. It has a load of other top features as wel. For eg it allows you to setup a series of 'Lists' where you store favourite channels. My nipper has just 4 or 5 channels set for her that she can flick between rather than scrolling through all 60+.
A tad expensive at £198 (Argos) over £50 for a standard box. But well worth it IMO.

I would also vote for the Pace Twin. Twin tuners and hard disk recording. I got one the day it came out and upgraded the hard disk by the end of the week.
Couldn't live without it now.
It has all the clever stuff like recording while you watch/flick through something else. But the pausing live TV is the best thing. Watching a film on BBC1 and want to take a leak/grab another beer/go for a smoke? Just hit pause and come back later and press play. Simple, but effective.
The Pace Twin has an optical audio out and I have it hooked up to my AV receiver. The AV receiver does a good job with Pro Logic II of turning a stereo signal into 5.1 for films on the TV.
It is also very good for the radio as well. Live music concerts played via the optical feed to the amp/speakers gives a very nice sound.
Cheers

I got one for £40 when I reconnected to BT. It was branded as "BT" although I seem to remember the word "Pace" from somewhere. Looked a bit cheap. I dont have any experience of others to compare it to though.
I thought the channels were crap anyway so I gave it to my parents and they now sit on a stupor infront of QVC and the Holiday Channel etc etc instead of the 4 terrestrial channels they had before.
